How many liveblogs have you subscribed to, and ended up with fingers sore from hitting the refresh button a couple of hours later? Ok, that’s overstating it a little bit, but you get the point.
When streaming video is not an option and you need people in remote places to view your event online in real (or near real) time, you can do one of two things:
1. Use regular blog software and have your viewers hit refresh every so often to see if there are new updates OR
2. Write your own software with all the fancy features you need.
We aim to provide a better way. Our website will let you create your very own liveblog with all the fancy features you need in less than 2 minutes.
At the scheduled time, anyone can visit the url you created, sit back and watch as their screens automatically update with uploaded pictures and commentary. Neat , huh?
A definition may be in order here: A live blog is a real time account of events using the web as a medium.
You can think of it as a live broadcast using text and picture updates.
We are still working on some key features, but expect to see a beta version in the weeks to come.
